What is poverty

Poverty is the state of being extremely poor, characterized by the lack of basic needs such as food, shelter, clothing, and access to healthcare and education.

Overview of poverty in Uganda

According to the Uganda Bureau of Statistics, over 30% of the population in Uganda lives below the poverty line, with the majority of these individuals living in rural areas.

Our program aims to alleviate poverty by addressing its root causes, such as lack of education and job opportunities, and by empowering individuals to lift themselves out of poverty.
